Royala Vepudu is a dish unique to the Andhra and Telangana region of India. It’s a spicy prawn dish made for the accompaniment of rice and dal dishes.     How to make Royala Vepudu at home

    Step 1

    Marinate the washed prawns with chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric, ginger garlic paste and keep aside for 5 mins.

    Step 2

    Add water, roughly chop onion and salt to the marinated prawns and cook till the water has almost evaporated.

    Step 3

    Heat oil in a cooking vessel, add curry leaves and green Chillies, and pan-fry for a few seconds, add the cooked prawns and cook on high heat till the water evaporates. Reduce flame to medium and sprinkle the garam masala powder and pan-fry further for 2 mins.

    Step 4

    Check the seasonings & set the salt as required.
