1. Add fenugreek seeds and urad dal along with water into a bowl and mix them well. Cover and keep it aside for about four hours for later use. Add thick beaten rice and par-boiled rice into a bowl. Cover and keep it aside.
2. Wash fenugreek seeds and urad dal, drain, and blend them into a paste. Repeat the same step for thick beaten rice and par-boiled rice. Now, combine both the mixtures, add salt, and thoroughly mix it..
3. Cover and leave it undisturbed for 12 hours to allow it to ferment. After 12 hours, mix it really well and pour the batter into idli moulds. Steam it for ten or 12 minutes by using an idli steamer.
4. Allow the idlis to cool down and then slowly demould them with the help of a spoon. Repeat the same steps for the remaining batter.
