1. Sugar1/3 Cup
2. Water3/4 Cup
3. Milk3/4 Cup
4. Ghee1/2 Cup
5. Sooji (Semolina)1/2 cup
6. Cashew Nuts10
7. Cardamom Powder1/2 Cup
1. Add water, sugar, & milk into a pan and heat it on medium flame. You will need to make sure that the sugar is properly dissolved and the mixture is heated well.
2. Take another pan and heat ghee in it on medium flame and allow the ghee to melt. Add semolina or sooji into it, stir, and then add cashew nuts before stirring again.
3. Continue to roast sooji on medium heat & add cardamom powder into it. Stir the mixture for some time until the sooji starts to change its color. Once it changes its color, add the mixture of milk, sugar, and water into it.
4. Add the mixture in two or three parts and make sure to whisk the sooji continuously. Sooji will gradually absorb the liquid and get thickened. Stir for a couple more minutes so that the halwa thickens properly & then garnish it with more cashews before serving.
