Ingredients of Homemade Ada Payasam

1. Rice Ada/Palada⅓ cup

2. Chopped Cashew Nuts1 tbsp

3. Raisins1 tbsp

4. Milk2 Cups

5. Ghee2 Teaspoon

6. Sugar¼ cup

7. Cardamom Powder¼ teaspoon

How to Make Homemade Palada Payasam

1. You can start by soaking ready-made rice ada in two cups of warm water for at least 10 minutes. The ada would have increased in size after 10 minutes. Now, slowly drain water from it and rinse it in water for two to three times.

2. Find a small pan and heat ghee in it and then roast raisins & cashew nuts separately. Now, transfer these items into a plate.

3. Add cardamom powder, soaked rice ada, sugar, and milk into a pan and cook it on medium flame until it starts boiling. Make sure to turn the flame to low when the mixture boils & then cook it for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until the palada becomes soft. Continue to stir so that they won’t start sticking.

4. Taste the palada payasam and add sugar into it if necessary. Transfer it into a bowl and then garnish it with the roasted cashew nuts and raisins.
