Ingredients of Homemade Olan

1. Coconut Oil1 tsp

2. Sprigs Curry Leaves2 nos

3. Green Chillies7 nos

4. Diced White Pumpkin/ Ash Gourd300 gms

5. Black Eyed Pea¼ cup

6. Saltto taste

7. Coconut Milk (Second Pressed)1 cup

8. Coconut Milk (First Pressed)½ Cup

How to Make Homemade Olan

1. Add coconut oil into a plan and heat it. Add slit green chillies and curry leaves into the pan and allow the chillies to blister slightly.

2. Take the ash gourd and properly clean it by removing the skin and seeds. Now, dice it and then add it into the pan.

3. Add one cup of coconut milk ( second pressed) into the pan and add salt to it. Now, leave it undisturbed for about 10 minutes to allow it to simmer.

4. Boil and drain the black eyed pea and add it into the mixture in the pan. Add first pressed coconut milk into the pan and simmer it for one minute. Try not to simmer for long.
