Ingredients of Homemade Ghee Rice

1. Ghee 1 Tbsp

2. Cashew8

3. Raisins2 Tbsp

4. Bay Leaf 1

5. Cinnamon1 inch

6. Cardamom2 Pods

7. Cloves5

8. Pepper1/2 Tsp

9. Sliced Onion1/2

10. Slit Chilli1

11. Basmati Rice1 Cup

12. Water2 Cups

13. Lemon Juice1 Tsp

14. Salt1 Tsp

How to Make Homemade Ghee Rice

1. Add ghee into a large kadai, heat it, and then add raisins & cashew. Roast them until they turn golden brown in color. Keep it aside for later use.

2. Saute cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, pepper, and bay leaf in the same kadai. Add chilli and onions into it & continue to saute it.

3. Add basmati rice into the kadai and roast it for about 1 minute. Now, add water, lemon juice, and salt into it.

4. Stir the ingredients well and allow the water to boil. Cover and pressure cook it for 2 whistles. Add fried nuts and mix it well before serving.
