Alleppey Fish curry is traditionally cooked in an earthen pot also called chatty. This recipe is a simple and light combination of tangy raw mangoes infused with fresh coconut milk. The soft meat of fish when cooked in this flavorful curry, literally melts in the mouth.

    How to make Alleppey Fish curry at home

    Step 1

    Heat oil in a pan add freshly pounded ginger & sliced onion,

    Step 2

    Add slit green chili, peeled and diced raw mango, mix and cook till mango gets softened.

    Step 3

    Then add chili powder, curry leaves, shallots, & turmeric and combine well.

    Step 4

    Pour the fresh coconut milk and mix, simmer for 2-3 mins

    Step 5

    Then add fish pieces to the curry mix gently and cook for 2-3 mins

    Step 6

    Check for seasonings. Serve hot.
