1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 onion, chopped

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup water

2 tablespoons butter, melted

4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced

1 cup peas

A tablespoon of cumin seeds

1 tablespoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves, chopped

1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and fry until golden brown.  

2. Whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Add the onions and mix well. Stir in the water and butter until well blended.  

3. Spread the mixture into a 9-inch round cake pan or pie dish.

5. Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the crust is golden brown.
